Like any other child, Sylvia had bright future prospects a head on completion of her academic journey which was halted by unforgettable incidence in her life time as she and her mother narrates. During COVID time as no school business was happening, Sylvia had gone to nurse her aunt who was sick. Its during this time where an unknown Samba Man who was working for a one rich man (whose names were not given for fear of mistreatment) dragged her to his small grass hatched house and rapped her. She says “I tried to make an alarm but by the time the rescue came it was late. “A case was reported to Kalagala police post but the criminal was already alerted, flee and was not answerable for his actions.

Unfortunately, Sylvia was left pregnant which was realized a few months later. As the pregnancy progressed the demands were overwhelming for her mother to handle who is also a single mother, carrying the burden of other kids she has with no meaningful source of income. She started looking for well wishers to give support and that’s how she got to know about TEEN MOTHERS AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH PROGRAM (tmrhp) through Luweero district probation officer who contacted us about the need to reach out to them. Two officers from organization went to Kalagala village using phone call directions from Luweero District probation officer and Silvia’s Mother

On reaching there, Silvia was feeling uncomfortable, sick looking and generally weak. She had been reviewed with an infection in the nearby health center with a prescription which they had failed to buy the medicine due to lack of money. Silvia’s mother narrated that they even lack food to feed the expectant mother.
