
Menstrual Hygiene Day is an annual awareness day on May 28 to highlight the importance of good menstrual hygiene management at global level.
A recent study of adolescent girls in Uganda showed that about ¾ of them miss at least one to three days of school per mother as many as 24 schools per year, because of menstruation.
Teen Mothers and reproductive health program organization through some of our community outreach activities in Katanga Slams-Kampala District, promoting young Women’s engagement (Teen Mothers and school girls) through advocacy, service delivery charity and health Research. With just small funding from well-wishers, we ensure that no girl is held back from attending school because of menstruation through community sensitization programs. The program is also teaching girls to make their own sanitary pads and liquid soaps to cater for those from vulnerable families who cannot afford access commercial products.
