OUR VISION

Africa Free from Child Marriages and Early Pregnancies Through Sexual and reproductive Health Programs and Fighting Gender inequality to see that women and girls rise above the voices of doubt and fear to achieve their dreams regardless of the limitations that society may place on them.

OUR MISSION

Working with local and religious leaders, government authorities to end child marriages and early pregnancies in Africa with emphasis on social injustice against women and girls including certain traditional and cultural practices that force girls and women into early unions, prioritizing sexual and reproductive health services and rights, providing health unique needs of teen mothers and women.

OUR OBJECTIVES

To end child marriages and early pregnancies in Africa. Educating and mobilizing parents and community members for gender equality and empowerment of girls and women. The primary motivation is to understand that the decision to marry girls early is generally in the hands of the family and community elders, parental education and community mobilization attempt to change social norms and forge a more supportive environment for girls and families who are willing and ready to change the customs of early marriages

To be the Centre of hope in provision of special reproductive health needs of teen mothers and women. Providing specialist advice on health concerns for women including Endometriosis, uterine braids, Gynecologic cancer, sexual violence and sexually transmitted diseases. Promoting maternal health programs to serve unique needs of the adolescent girls, teen mothers and woman. Complications arising from early pregnancies and childbirth are among the leading causes of death in girls aged 15-19 and their children. Reducing child marriages and promote maternal health programs will help to improve the health of millions of girls and women and their children.

To increase access to reproductive health services, rights and sexual education. Massages to encourage abstinence, proper use of family planning, counseling and prevention of unsafe abortion by these who are sexually active is front line effort to prevent unintended and early pregnancies, HIV infection and other sexually transmitted diseases. Young married girls are exposed to frequent unprotected sexual activities because of limited knowledge to exercise their own sexual rights, sexual partners and marriage.

To improve school retention, re-entry as well as skilling of teenage mothers. Teenage mothers and their families need to be made aware of the fact that these girls are still entitled to the same training and education as other teenagers. It is understandable that learning is difficult with a teenage pregnancy, we plan to make sure that these girls and their support system are aware of the options and a way forward after delivery. This will involve education institutions being made aware that they ought to provide support pregnant teenagers complete their studies with minimal disruptions through adjusting pregnancy friendly dress codes and timelines for these girls. The availability of vocational training institutions other than the mainstream school systems will be explored for some mothers who desire this option. Supporting girls conceiving before the adult age with life skills, vocational and livelihood skills training to equip girls for income generation activities and support the education for these girls who can go back to school for formal education to re-define their goals in life after childbirth.

To support government policies on poverty eradication in poor families. Much research show that there is relationship between poverty and child marriages in many African communities, parents exchange their daughters for bride wealth. This is common with very many poor families, working with local and national governments, regional bodies, and global institutions directing money and resources towards key population like vulnerable families, women and girls will help to end child marriages and achievement of sustainable development goals of UN.
